to active membership in the church, and
to obedient service in the world.

Our committee works with Nazareth's outreach to the community and assimilation of new members. Our goal is to let others know about Nazareth's ministry and to help new members become involved in its ministry.
Our main focus includes:
The Front Porch Committee, the web site, Nazareth's monthly newsletter, new member notebooks, and the local newspaper's church directory in which our church information is listed weekly.
We meet the first Sunday of each month at 8:30.
Mission Committee -
Worship Committee -
Mission: Our committee (with help from the session) has the responsibility to provide for the worship of the people of God, including the preaching of the Word, the sharing of the Sacraments, and the music program, in keeping with the principles in the directory for Worship. Some of our duties include:
- To plan with the Pastor the Order of Worship
- To plan with the Music Directors, Organist and Pastor, the music for worship
- To develop a sense of reverence and worship at all services
- To supervise the use of the Sanctuary
- To provide the Ritual of Friendship forms upon which members and visitors record their attendance in order to develop data for use by the Session and its committees
- To publish the church bulletin
- To encourage musical interests and talents of young people
- To assure the appropriate use of flowers and arrangements in the Sanctuary
- To provide for ushers at all worship services
- To provide for the preparation and serving of the Lord’s Supper
- To prepare for baptisms as directed by the Pastor
- To assist as appropriate with all special occasions
